MEDIUM WAVE QUARTZ TUBES CAN BE DESIGNED FOR ALMOST ANY VOLTAGE OR WATTAGE WITH ELEMENT LENGTHS OVER 100 INCHES (2540 MM).

 

MEDIUM WAVE INFRARED HEATING ELEMENTS AND COILS HAVE A NICKEL/CHROMIUM FILAMENT AND GENERALLY OPERATE FROM 1200°F TO 1800°F (648.8°C TO 982.2°C) AT A WAVELENGTH OF 2µM TO 4µM. THE ELEMENT IS USUALLY SUPPORTED INSIDE A QUARTZ TUBE OR OVER A CERAMIC TUBE.

 

SHORT WAVE INFRARED QUARTZ HEATING LAMPS HAVE A TUNGSTEN FILAMENT. THE FILAMENT IS SUPPORTED IN AN EVACUATED AND SEALED TUBE. AT FULL VOLTAGE THE FILAMENT TEMPERATURE IS APPROXIMATELY 4000°F (2204.4°C) AND OPERATES IN A WAVELENGTH OF  2µM TO .76µM.

 

LONG WEAVE INFRARED HEATING ELEMENTS ARE USUALLY A METAL SHEATHED ELEMENT THAT OPERATES BELOW 1100°F (593.3°C) AT A WAVELENGTH OF 4µM TO 10µM.
